Religious Hatred is OK, But Racism is Bad?

On here. Why is that?
Just seen a thread about white people and it gets locked 8 posts in. I didnt actually see a racist comment in the posts so im assuming it was the OP that did it.
But there are plenty of threads where people openly spout hatred about Islam, muslims and other religions and their followers, but mainly the former group.
The WHO policy clearly states not to post material based on creed/culture etc. But its clearly done, in abundance. Its quite rare for an Islam bashing thread to get locked.
Any reason for this inconsistency? Mods, care to explain your guidelines and compass on this?

Personally I find it difficult to take religious people seriously. I would never say so though.
Having considered the prospect of there being a god at some length; the scientific evidence for evolution and probability of Big Bang, they must be weak minded to ignore the probabilities to still believe. Well that or indoctrinated from an early age and incapable of working it out for themselves.
I'd like to think they were harmless but people in touch with a god are dangerous imo....

About 20 years ago a bloke sidled up to me on Shenfield station. He shook my hand, wished me a good evening and passed me a very polite leaflet that informed me that Jesus could save me.
That's my entire experience of 'right-wing evangelical nutjobs'.
I reckon I can just about deal with that.

I live in Essex.
I judge things based on my own experience, and there aren't many Evangelical nutjobs around.
Maybe move to Essex, if you're beset by them?
